Your wedding is about you and your spouse-to-be, of course. But it is also about all those people you love and who love you back – and about them being there for you when you make such an important step in your life. Unfortunately though, we are not always blessed to have all of our loved ones with us on our wedding day – but we can still make them feel closer to us through a variety of ways. Here are some great tips on how to include your loved ones who were unable to attend your wedding day:
- Picture frame charms. If you want to walk down the aisle with your loved ones close to you, use their photos and some small frame charms to decorate your bridal bouquet. This is a wonderful way of making yourself feel that they are there for you on this Big Day. Plus, your bouquet will look really gorgeous this way!
- Ties and shirts. If you have a special man in your life that you would have loved to see there on your wedding day, you can use his ties or shirts for the Big Day. For instance, you could wrap your bouquet and your bridesmaids’ bouquets in his ties. Also, you could use a small patch of one of his shirts and sew it either on the inside or on the outside of your dress (and if the shirt was blue, this can very well be your “Something Blue”).
- Instead of offering wedding favors, make a donation in the name of your lost loved one. Your guests will definitely not mind having their wedding favors replaced with such a noble act of kindness! Plus, they will understand that this person meant a lot to you and they will be genuinely happy to help you cope with his/her absence on your wedding day!
